However, due to progress in breast cancer research, education, screening and treatments supported by organizations like Komen for the Cure and partners like Napa Valley Naturals, the 5-year relative survival rate for women with localized breast cancer is now 98 percent. In the United States today, there are about two and a half million breast cancer survivors.
